Company History

Registered in 1988 by Charlie and Marie Norman, Normans began as a livestock transport company in 1970 and have evolved to become a trusted leader in the general transport and storage industry. Normans now work with a particular emphasis on food grade products destined for domestic and international markets and operate under a comprehensive Risk Management Programme.

Normans head office and depot are based in Morrinsville and remain owner operated with son Adam Norman taking on the role of General Manager under the guidance of Charlie and Marie. The first food grade store and office building was built in 1999 after relocation from a smaller site that had been in operation for nearly ten years. Since then the site has been developed to include an onsite workshop, covered loading canopy and an addition of a fifth store which was constructed in 2018.

2014 saw the opening of Normans second state of the art storage facility built in Te Rapa, Hamilton. Comprising of tilt slab concrete walls the build includes two individual stores separated by a firewall and an enclosed canopy for container unloads and freight distribution.
